Description

PRESOLICITATION NOTICE The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 22 intends to enter into sole source procurement with Republic Services to provide trash pick-up and disposal of three (3) Contractor-owned 3 cubic yard covered containers located at the VA Loma Linda Healthcare System, 11201 Benton Street, Loma Linda, CA 92357. The authority to enter into a contract on a sole-source basis with Republic Services is made under the authority Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1 which provides for limiting competition in those situations where the supplies or services are available from only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. The period of performance shall be for a base period of one (1) year with the Government's option to extend for four (4) one (1) year periods. Interested sources may submit technical capabilities and any other information that demonstrates ability to meet the requirements by submitting their interest in writing with complete name, address, telephone and fax numbers, and a point of contact. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed procurement based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Inquiries will only be accepted in writing via email to Jennelyn.Peters@va.gov. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted. Responses must be received no later than 9:00 AM, Eastern Standard Time on Monday, December 16, 2013.
