Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office 16 (NCO 16) intends to award a sole source contract award to GE Healthcare BIO Sciences, 800 Centennial Ave, Piscataway, NJ 08854-3911. The Period of Performance for Contract Award will be twelve (12) month period plus Four Twelve Month Option Periods. This requirement is for the calibration, preventive, and/or corrective maintenance services on the following equipment: MANUFACTURER MODEL SERIAL # LOCATION AKTA FPLC Liquid Chromatograph18111867-01096355 BLDG 109, RM 106 Services shall be performed during the VA normal business hours, 8:00 a.m. through 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding Government holidays. Equipment located at VA Medical Center, 2002 Holcombe BLVD, Houston, TX 77030. GE HEALTHCARE, is the sole provider and since the software/hardware is proprietary. GE HEALTHCARE is the only available source for this service. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification prior to the response due date and time. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to perform the requirements. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the award. Responses are due by December 6, 2013, 1:00 p.m. (CST). Responses shall be submitted via e-mail to Anthony.marion2@va.gov. Telephone requests or inquires will not be accepted.
