Description
The purpose of this Market Survey is to determine the appropriateness of a small business set-aside. If you are interested in this type of work, AND you meet the professional experience requirement, please complete the attached BUSINESS DECLARATION and return it to GINA.STORLIE@FAA.GOV by December 9, 2013. A formal solicitation will be announced on the internet following our determination of whether a small-business set-aside is appropriate. Statement of Work: Drafting Services General: Drafting services in support of Western Service Area Engineering Services (ES) projects. The consultant shall provide engineering drafting services. Drafting work will be for the preparation of all types of engineering drawings, including construction drawings, engineering details and as-builts. Consultant Qualifications and Requirements: The consultant must have a min. of five (5) years of Micro station or Autocad experience. The FAA standard is Micro station. The drafting product must meet the current FAA drafting standard for Micro station. The FAA standard is attached. Initial drafting can be in AutoCAD but must be converted to Micro station, FAA-format when the product is delivered to the FAA. The FAA project engineer will, at times, work closely with the drafter at their location. The drafter will provide a work desk top with a power outlet and internet access for this effort. Work Location: Work shall be accomplished at the drafter ™s office location. No travel is anticipated. Performance Times: Work shall begin within seven (7) days of receipt of CONTRACTING OFFICER ™S REQUEST, accompanied by FAA red lines, airport drawings, mark ups and/or detail typicals. It is expected that the drafter will work on the FAA work full time or as negotiated with the FAA project engineer. ONLY A CONTRACTING OFFICER MAY MAKE A REQUEST FOR SERVICES UNDER THIS CONTRACT. FAA PROJECT ENGINEER ™S DO NOT HAVE THE AUTHORITY TO ORDER SERVICES UNDER THIS CONTRACT. Other options timelines will be as negotiated with the FAA for the next five years. Deliverables. The consultant shall provide drafting services and products as described above. Work will be done on an hourly basis as needed not to exceed (NTE) $100,000 total for the entire contract. The Contract will be incrementally funded over the life of the contract. Work is only authorized for that which is funded at the time the work is done. Contractor must take every precaution not to exceed that which is actually on contract. Unfunded work is not authorized, and will not be honored by the Government. The Contractor has the affirmative duty to notify the Government when Contractor is within ten percent (10%) of the contract ceiling. Specific products will be coordinated with the FAA project engineer.
