Description
SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE The Department of Treasury works to ensure employment opportunities are provided to personnel from various ethnic groups and backgrounds. Specifically, The Treasury Scholars Program provides meaningful and marketable work experiences for minority undergraduate and graduate college students in Treasury Headquarters Policy Offices. Students are selected from a wide range of academic areas and disciplines that are mission critical to its policy offices which includes business administration, law, economics, finance, information technology and analytical demand by the intelligence community. Within the Department of the Treasury seek students from diverse ethnic groups who want to shape and drive national and global policy in one of a wide variety of public service careers. We are seeking students from various ethnic groups to include, but are not limited to: • Hispanic American • Native American/Alaskan Native • African American • Asian Pacific American In order to be considered eligible in applying to the Treasury Scholars Program, students must be U.S. citizens and maintain student eligibility and full-time enrollment throughout the duration of the internship (students must be enrolled or accepted at an accredited institution). Graduated students may not participate in this internship program beyond his/her graduation date unless there is proof of future enrollment in an accredited university. As intended by this Sources Sought Notice, the Government is attempting to gather market research information from contractors regarding their capabilities to provide the requirements stated with in this notice. Therefore, interested parties should provide their statements of capabilities inclusive of relevant experience in providing collegiate interns from various ethnic backgrounds. Interested parties should provide requested information via e-mail to Ms. Ralawna Cobb, Contracting Officer, by 2:00PM Eastern Standard time on December 20, 2013, to the following email address: Ralawna.Cobb@irs.gov. Responses shall be limited to no more than 10 pages, standard margins, and 12pt. font. THE SUBMISSION OF THIS INFORMATION IS INTENDED FOR PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY AND IS NOT TO BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT TO PROCURE ANY SERVICES, NOR DOES THE IRS INTEND TO AWARD A CONTRACT ON THE BASIS OF THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE OR OTHERWISE PAY FOR THE INFORMATION SOLICITED.
