Pre-Solicitation Notice OIS-14-0001 Classification Code: -- 70-Other Computer Related Services Contracting Office Address: U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Office of Administration Division of Contracts 11545 Rockville Pike Rockville, MD 20852-2738 United States Title: ADAMS IBM TS3500 Tape Library Maintenance Renewal The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) intends to issue a purchase order for the ADAMS IBM TS3500 Tape Library Maintenance. The period of performance for this technical services support is for 1 year. The regulatory authority permitting other than full and open competition is FAR 13.106-1(b), which provides for limiting competition in those situations where an item peculiar to one manufacturer satisfies the agency's needs. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 541519 The NRC acquired an IBM TS3500 Tape Library in September 2010 as a back-up server system supporting the Agency-wide Document System (ADAMS). The continued maintenance provides access to collections of documents related to the agency's regulatory activities. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. In doing so, interested sources must submit technical capabilities and any other information that demonstrates their ability to meet the NRC's needs. Detailed capabilities must be submitted to the above address not later than 15 calendar days from the date this announcement appears in the Federal Business Opportunities.
