- This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of potential qualified Small Business Administration (SBA) certified: 8(a), HubZone and Service Disabled Veteran-Owned firms relative to the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) 562910 (Lead Paint Abatement Services). The U.S. Military Academy West Point NY is seeking sources to provide all supervision, labor, quality control, tools, vehicles, materials, and equipment to perform the following work at the United States Military Academy (USMA), West Point, New York. a.Abate, and encapsulate or enclose lead based paint (LBP) and suspected lead contaminated materials on both the interior and exterior of various military facilities, including public buildings and housing, b.Provide incidental testing for LBP and lead contamination, and c.Characterize and dispose of LBP components and LBP residue resulting from LBP abatement activities. All work shall be conducted in accordance with all Federal, state, and local regulations, including the standards of HUD Title X. Interested sources are requested to submit an email delineating qualification, capabilities, and experience for providing these services. Sources must sufficiently demonstrate the capability to perform these services and must provide detailed experience and qualifications in all previous work pertinent to this effort. Please include your business size with your submittal. This is not a Request for Proposal or an announcement of a solicitation. Your responses will be used solely for market research purposes of the Government. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this notice and submittals will not be returned to the sender. The applicable North American Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 562910 and the small business size standard is $19.0 M. Responses due are to be submitted by e-mail to kymberly.aviles@us.army.mil. The information requested must be received no later than 2:00 pm Eastern Standard Time on 13 Dec 2013. The solicitation is expected to be released on or about 30 January, 2014.
