- The United States Army Contracting Command - New Jersey (ACC-NJ) Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey 07806-5000, on behalf of the support of the U.S. Army Research, Development, and Engineering Center (ARDEC) has a requirement for eight-five (85) Accelerometers, P/N: 7270A-60KM16 and one (1) Tri-Axial Accelerometer, P/N: 73FCM1-6K-6K-6K in support of the EXCALIBUR testing projectile program. The U.S. Army intends to satisfy this requirement by soliciting, negotiating, and awarding a sole source effort with MEGGITT, 30700 Rancho Viejo Road, San Juan Capistrano, California 92675 based on FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. MEGGITT has the technology, level of knowledge and experience with performance verification and has the specific Accelerometers needed to ensure the successful meeting of this requirement, within the time and cost allotted for this effort. Furthermore, MEGGITT has the software and hardware tools necessary to make the accelerometers for the EXCALIBUR testing projectile Program.
