- Description
- List of part numbers (National Stock Numbers) to be supported on this potential PBL contract. The Department of the Navy is soliciting for the establishment, operation and maintenance of a Performance Based Logistics contract for the MK57 NATO Sea Sparrow Missile System and the MK23 Target Acquisition System that will support 869 different components (National Stock Number items). A list of these 869 items is uploaded as an Attachment A with this synopsis. The contract will be for five (5) years. The contractor will be responsible for: (A) Requirements Determination; (B) Inventory Management; (C) Requisition Processing; (D) Repair or Manufacture of the system's components (items); (E) Warehousing; (F) Receiving; (G) Shipping; (H) Packaging; (I) Tracking; (J) Inventory Reporting; (K) Resolving Obsolescence Issues; and (L) Meeting all Specifications and Performance Metrics. Complete technical data and drawings (for these items) are not available from the Government. The subject items require Government source approval prior to contract award. The time required for approval of a new source is normally such that an award cannot be delayed pending approval of a new source. If you are not an approved source you must submit, together with your proposal, the information detailed in the NAVSUP WSS Source Approval Information Brochure for Repair. This brochure identifies technical data required to be submitted based on your company's experience in repair of the same or similar items. This brochure can be obtained at "https://www.navsup.navy.mil/navsup/ourteam/navicp/business_opps". Note, if evaluation of a source approval request submitted hereunder cannot be processed in time and/or approval requirements preclude the ability to obtain subject items in time to meet Government requirements, award of the subject requirement may continue based on Fleet support needs. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency.
