Description

The Veterans Health Administration, Veterans Affairs Medical Center - Huntington has a requirement to acquire one each custom van modification for the Veteran. The modification included frame modifications, addition of rubber flooring, installation of a six-way power transfer seat, addition of alternate driving controls, and lock strains. In accordance with Veterans Health Administration Directive 1173, the Veteran chose the vendor to perform the modification to their personal vehicle. This Special Notice is being publicized to announce the medical center's intent to sole source this requirement under the authority of 38 U.S.C 8123 and VHA Directive 1173. Proposed contracts negotiated under this authority are approved for Other Than Full and Open Competition to satisfy the supplies or services to meet the agency's requirements.
