THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS ONLY; NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SYNOPSIS. The NAICS Code is 311611. This Request for Information (RFI) is issued in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 15.201(e). The Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) is seeking potential sources and information in anticipation of a requirement to provide and deliver program buy fresh chilled pork products to store locations in the Continental United States (CONUS) to include Alaska and Hawaii, and Puerto Rico (OCONUS). DeCA is a DoD agency, headquartered at Fort Lee, VA and operates a worldwide chain of commissaries to provide groceries to military personnel, retirees, and their families. The attached form is a request for industry feedback. We encourage your input in completing this form. This is for informational purposes only and is not a solicitation for offers. We encourage companies to explore the possibility of creating "teaming" arrangements with other companies and competing in the upcoming solicitation or inquire with other companies on subcontracting possibilities. After collection of this feedback, a notice will be issued via the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) to announce the subsequent issuance of a formal solicitation which will also be posted in the same FBO venue. Responses to this request for information are due back no later than 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time (Fort Lee local time) on Friday, August 30, 2013 and may be submitted via email to pscc.commodities@deca.mil.
