Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Boston Healthcare System, has a requirement for development of a Quality Manual to guide the MAVERIC Biorepository to accreditation. See additional description below. A fixed price IDIQ contract with a performance period of approximately 2 years is anticipated and shall be awarded. This is not a solicitation; it is a sources sought announcement. Inquiries/information received after the established deadline shall not be considered. The submission of any data for review shall not impede award of this contract as planned. The Government does not intend to pay for information solicited. ADDITIONAL DESCRIPTION: This is a new contract to provide The MAVERIC Biorepository ("Biorepository") with subject matter expertise services to advise and assist the Biorepository in creating a Quality Management System ("QMS"). In particular, the Contractor will assist the Biorepository in creating a Quality Manual, the basic starting point for any QMS, which contains all guidance, rules, statutes, and scope statements the Biorepository will follow to ensure standardized and consistent bioprocessing of all human specimens. The MAVERIC Biorepository desires to create a QMS on the way to achieving its goal of becoming an accredited biorepository through CAP-BAP (College of American Pathologists - Biorepository Program). The Contractor shall assist the Biorepository in achieving this goal by creating a roadmap to CAP-BAP accreditation by determining steps required in brief overview in writing, designing and creating the Quality Manual ("QM") which contains all Policy of the Biorepository. It should be noted that the QM is considered the primary deliverable. During the performance of this contract, creation and delivery of a QM, the Contractor will be expected to inspect facilities, examine current Biorepository operations, review current documents, interview staff, and assist with the design of the QMS.
