Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 20, Puget Sound Health Care System, American Lake Division located at 9600 Veterans Drive, Lakewood, WA 98493, in accordance with FAR 13.106(b)(1) intends to solicit from a single source. Lakewood Refuse is the sole provider of trash and recycling collection services for the City of Lakewood. The NAICS Code is 562111 and the size standard is $35.5 million. The statutory authority for restricting competition under Simplified Acquisition Procedures, or Single Sourcing, is 41 U.S.C. 253(c), as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b). This notice of intent is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement. A determination not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that the responding company can provide trash and recycling collection services within the City of Lakewood, WA. Responses must be received no later than 3:00 pm on September 27, 2013. All responses must be e-mailed to carley.graham@va.gov.
