THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Palo Alto Health Care System intends to negotiate and award a sole source, firm fixed price contract to Glenoaks Pathology Medical Group, Inc., under the authority of FAR 6.302-5 and VAAR 819.7007. The requirement is for autopsy services under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code of 621511. The related small business size standard is $30 million. The proposed performance period is one year with four option years. Anticipated award date is October 1, 2013. Sole source justification has been prepared and approved in support of this acquisition. No contracts will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No telephone questions will be accepted. Comments should be emailed to victor.sepulveda@va.gov. This notice is the only official notice of solicitation.
