- Request for Information - CAMBRO or EQUIVALENT (Insulated Food Transporter) Document Type: Sources Sought Notice Solicitation Number: Posted Date: Response Date: NAICS Code: 326199 Contracting Office Address: Federal Emergency Management Agency, 395 E Street SW, Washington, DC 20472 Contract Type: None Description FEMA is seeking information regarding the Cambro or equivalent/insulated food transporter. Request for Information (RFI) will enable FEMA to assess the interest, experience, capability, and general standards of the food carriers used to distribute food at a safe temperature during national disaster events. Please respond to the following questions. The following list is not all inclusive: 1. Please specify the location of your Company Headquarters. 2. Please specify whether you are a large business or small business. 3. Please specify whether you are a manufacturer, wholesaler, or reseller of Cambro or equivalent insulated food transporter. 4. Please provide the volume of Cambro or equivalent insulated food transporters that can be delivered or picked up in a 24 hour time frame. 5. Please provide the volume of Cambro or equivalent insulated food transporters that can be delivered or picked up in a 48 hour time frame. 6. How many different sizes of Cambro or equivalent insulated food transporters does your company sell and what are the dimensions of each? Please explain the advantages of having a sealed container vs and unsealed container. 8. Please explain the differences including advantages and disadvantages between the Cambros with hinged lid vs other type of covers. 9. When and how can orders be placed? 10. Can your company deliver nationwide? 11. What are the usual challenges one would typically expect to encounter with the handling and use of Cambros/meal carriers? Explain how and the best method of transporting the Cambros (weight limitation, ability to stack one-on-top of each other...etc). 12. Please add any comments you feel which may be helpful to the Government in a possible procurement of this or an equivalent product.
