- This is a modification to the above combined synopsis/solicitation 655517-2013 to modify the following: 1. Change NAICS Code from 311119 to 424910 2. Change description from Animal Feed to Soybean Meal 3. Delete attachment entitled Addendum-Feed Order Specification and add specifications for Soybean Meal. ______________________________________________________________ This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This procurement is being conducted under procedures pursuant to the autority of FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commerical Items (Title VIII of the Federal Acquisition Streamlining Act of 1994 Public Law 103-355). This announcement constitutes the only solicitation therefore a written solicitation will not be issued. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Services (ARS) intends to issue a firm-fixed price purchase order on or about October 1, 2013 for the following commerical item; Soybean Meal. This solicitation is being issued as a 100% small business set-aside. The solicitation number is 655517-2013. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-69, September 3, 2013. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 424910 with a size standard of 22.7 million. SPECIFICATIONS FOR SOYBEAN MEAL: 1. Minimum protein content: 47.0% 2. Quantity: Delivery shall be in bulk 22 to 24 ton quantities by bottom unloading or dump trailers. 3. Delivery schedule: Deliveries sahll be every 45 days throughout teh period of performance for approximately 8 deliveries a year. The number of deliveries are subject to vary, depending on quantity per delivery. Period of performance is pne year from date of award. All interested offerors are invited to submit a quote utilizing your most competittive and reasonable rates. Evaluation of quotations and award will be based on the lowest price technically acceptable (LPTA).
