Description
Proposed Modular Location, Sheet 3 Site Plan with Utlities, 2 of 2 Site Plan with Utlities, 1 of 2 Amendment No. 001 The Gifford Pinchot National Forest, Mt. Saint Helens National Volcanic Monument intends to acquire by contract the design, manufacture, delivery, and installation of an approximately 2000 sq. ft. modular home. The required design criteria will be stated in the solicitation including: higher than normal snow loading, square footage of floor plan for four bedrooms with three bathrooms, connection to existing electrical system, and installation of a septic tank system to connect to existing drain field. The site will be closed off to the public by the Forest Service, but the contractor will need to provide a construction boundary due to Forest Service employees working and living near the area. Project location is the Coldwater Ridge Visitor Center Corridor, located at MP 43 on WA State Highway 504, past Toutle, Washington. Period for performance is from October 15, 2013, to July 01, 2014. Project Manager is Mr. Heath Cameron, (360) 449-7813 The government will proceed to issue a solicitation as a Request for Proposals (RFP). This acquisition is 100 percent set-aside for small business concerns. Award will be made to the Offeror whose proposal, conforming to the solicitation, is fair and reasonable, and has been determined to be the best value to the Forest Service. Offers will be evaluated based upon: price; experience, past performance, managers & subcontractors, price realism, and a Level of Confidence Assessment Rating (LOCAR). Service Contract Act wage rates apply to any resulting contract. The proposed contract type is firm-fixed price. This solicitation will be available on or about AUG. 23, 2013. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by the government. Prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award of a contract. Lack of registration in the SAM on the part of the offeror will render an offeror ineligible for award. Offerors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements by contacting askSAM@gsa.gov, or via the Internet at http://www.sam.gov. For additional information contact Miley Sutherland, Contracting Officer at 360-956-2471, and Heath Cameron, Engineer, at (360) 449-7813.
