Description
The Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) intends to negotiate a sole source contract with the University of Illinois Laboratory services for Flow Cytometry Services for the following VA locations: "James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center, Bldg. 138, 3001 Green Bay Road, North Chicago, IL 60064 "Jesse Brown VA Medical Center; 2030 West Taylor; Chicago, IL 60612 "Hines VA Medical Center; Bldg. 220, 5000S 5th Street, Hines, IL 60141 "Iron Mountain VA Medical Center; 325 East "H" Street; Iron Mountain, MI 49801 "Tomah VA Medical Center; 500 E Veterans Drive; Tomah, WI 54660 "Milwaukee VA Medical Center; 5000W National Ave., Milwaukee WI 53295 The University of Illinois Laboratory is believed to be the only institution that would limit their services to the enumeration of 25 cell markers types by Flow Cytometry technology alone and not require that pathologists interpret the cell marker findings allowing the results of this testing be interpreted by a VA-employed pathologist to render a diagnosis. If VA did not obtain this particular service, VA would not be able to diagnose the leukemia and lymphoma diseases. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation documents are available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer by 2:00 PM (CST) September 16, 2013. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Information must be sent to the Contracting Officer, VAMC GLAC, 115 South 84th Street - Suite 101, Milwaukee, WI 53214-1476 or via fax to (414) 844-4891. TELEPHONIC INQUIRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the GLAC will proceed with the sole source negotiation with the University of Illinois.
