Description: SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE - This is not a request for offers or proposals. This notice does not represent a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or award a contract. Information received will be used to determine the availability of responsive and responsible firms that would be interested in submitting offers for this anticipated solicitation. The General Services Administration (GSA) Greater Southwest Region is conducting a market survey and is seeking sources for Construction Services. The requirements for this opportunity include Renovations and Alterations for the U.S. Marshals Service area offices and Holding Cells Renovation on the 2nd Floor of the Texarkana Federal Courthouse/Post Office located at 500 Stateline Road, Texarkana, Arkansas. The work of the project is defined by the contract documents and consists of the following: renovation and alteration of approximately 3100 square feet of courtroom space which contain office space, and detention holding cells. Work to include selective demolition and is not limited to the removal of existing partitions, doors, frames, ceiling, plumbing fixtures, electrical, and mechanical systems, as well as limited portions of the floor finishes as well as historically significant flooring and wall finishes. New construction and renovation work includes and is not limited to architectural woodwork, interior doors and frames, door hardware, interior partitions, ceilings, interior floor and wall finishes, mechanical, plumbing, lighting, electrical, detention cells, security related doors, frames, door hardware, partitions, ceilings, wall finishes, and Fire Alarm Systems. The current estimated cost range is $500,000 and 1,000,000. The North American Industry System (NAICS) code for this effort is 236220 and the Small Business Administration (SBA) size standard is 33.5 million dollars. The project will require work to be performed within an occupied Federal Courthouse while minimizing disruptions to the operations of the existing facility. All offerors responding to the RFP must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) before they can be award a contract. Information concerning SAM requirements may be viewed via internet at www.sam.gov or by calling 1-888-227-2423. Companies, who have the necessary experience in construction and holding cells renovation, as well as an interest in this project, should submit a statement of capabilities, which is not a proposal, but rather a short statement regarding the firm's expertise and experience on construction projects similar in scope to the one described in this notice. Firms should indicate eligibility for SBA programs and whether they are a Small Business, 8(a) firm, Federal HUB Zone certified firm, Service-Disabled Veteran Owned firm, small business firm or large business firm.
