Description

This is a Pre-solicitation Notice. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Michael E. DeBakey, Veteran Affairs Medical Center (MEDVAMC), 2002 Holcombe Blvd., Houston, TX, 77030 pharmacy service has a requirement for a total of four (4) IV compounding robots; (1) One (1) IV Chemotherapy Compounding Robot, and three (3) IV Compounding Robots. Two of the IV compounding robots will be placed in the inpatient central pharmacy to assist in compounding sterile medications for the facility, one would be placed in the Operating Room Pharmacy Satellite to assist in compounding medications to be used during surgery, and the final robot is specially designed to compound chemotherapy IV medications and would be placed in the Oncology Pharmacy Satellite. The delivery period will be within a period of six (6) months after contract award, and the successful offeror will be provided with a notice to proceed 30 days prior to the required delivery and installation date. The NAICS code is 334510 and the business size standard is 500 employees. This procurement is being conducted in n accordance with FAR Parts 12 Commercial Item and 13.5 Test Program. The solicitation is scheduled to be issued on or about September 9, 2013 and will be issued via Fed Biz Opps Electronic Posting System at http://www.fedbizopps.gov with proposals due by 3:30 P.M. September 22, 2013. Offerors are responsible for checking the web site regularly to obtain amendments. Questions regarding this solicitation must be in writing. Proposals may be submitted in writing or electronically to the issuing office, must be in accordance with the preparation instructions outlined in the solicitation, and be timely.
