Description
RFQ This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 13, as applicable, and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is N62271-13-Q-1308 and is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ), unless otherwise indicated herein. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-55. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 541712, total small business set-aside. Naval Postgraduate School Spectrometer The Naval Postgraduate School Physics Department has a requirement for a Portable THz Spectrometer instrument would enhance ongoing Thz research as well as help extend it to the microwave. NPS currently uses far ends of a FTIR spectrometer for this purpose, which works for higher THz frequencies while research in the microwave and low-THz band is inhibited. Having such an instrument would greatly enhance accuracy and simplicity of ongoing metamaterial investigation at NPS. The requirements for the Portable THz Spectrometer are as follows: • Portable THz Frequency Domain Spectrometer • 100 GHz to 1000 THz or higher • Capable of simultaneously measuring transmission and reflection through the sample The below part numbers have been identified to meet the technical criteria.
