Description
NAVSUP Fleet Logistic Center San Diego used full and open competition to award a base year plus (3) one-year options IDIQ Multiple Award Contract to Chromalloy Component Services (CCC) (San Antonio, TX) and MTU Canada on 06 September 2013, with a 06-Sept-2013 to 05-Sept-2014 base period of performance. Accordingly, under the authority of FAR 19.502-2(a), the Government published an unrestricted solicitation with a subcontracting plan requirement for the applicable large business concern. CCC was awarded a FFP contract with a total value of $2,203,587.00 which includes base year and all three option years. MTU was awarded a FFP contract with a total value of $2,210,528.06 which includes base year and all three option years. The requirement originated from the Fleet Readiness Center Southwest (FRCSW) to provide LM2500 component machining services, for the LM2500 Gas Turbine Assembly. The FRCSW LM2500 Engine Program is a vital element to national security as well as ongoing daily support requirements for the Pacific Fleet. All of the U.S. Navy surface warships employ this engine for their propulsion and energy needs. Work will be performed at the machining facilities as stated in each delivery order award. The Government will solicit and negotiate delivery orders with only the IDIQ contractors designated via N00244-13-D-0022 and N00244-13-D-0023 for LM2500 Stator Case component machining services under the authority of FAR 16.504. Place of Contract Performance: TBD per delivery order Set‐aside Status: Not Set Aside (Subcontracting plans provided)
