Kingsbridge Road Rm. 9b-16 Bronx NY 10468 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 16.5, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration (VHA), NCO (Network Contracting Office 3 - NY;NJ) anticipates entering into a four-year Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite Quantity Contract (IDIQ) for the delivery of radiopharmaceuticals for Diagnostic Imaging, at the Brooklyn VAMC. The successful contractor is required to be an approved nuclear medicine pharmacy and licensed for the sale and transport of medical grade radioisotopes by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). This solicitation is unrestricted; full and open competition (FAOC). The acquisition requires multiple daily deliveries of formulary grade quantities with a radioactive half-life that is a limiting factor in the clinical use of the radioisotopes; nuclear pharmacies. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is VA243-13-R-0702 and is issued as a request for proposal (RFP), unless otherwise indicated herein. The responses to this solicitation will lead to the issuance of an IDIQ contract. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-61. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 325412 with a small business size standard of 750 employees. This requirement is an unrestricted procurement and only qualified offerors may submit bids. The open period for proposals will start on the date this solicitation is posted and will end on 9/13/2013 10:00:00am. Eastern Time.
