- This is a combined synopsis and solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Request for Quotation (RFQ) number is N66604-13-Q-2784. Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Circular 2005-69. NAICS code is 334511, size standard 750 employees. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport, RI intends to place on a Sole Source basis, a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) purchase order to Reson, Inc., 100 Lopez Rd. Goleta, CA, for the purchase of the following item: CLIN 0001 - Qty (36) each, of Reson, Inc. P/N PC4047, DT-713 Sonar Hydrophone assembly, P/N 53711-7335227-1. Required delivery is 16 weeks after award, FOB Destination Naval Station Newport, Newport, RI 02841. Reson, Inc. is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the custom Sonar Hydrophone designed for use in monitoring the propulsor system on the Virginia class submarines. The operating and physical specifications of the RESON hydrophone are uniquely customized for the Virginia Platform. Reson designed the hydrophone assembly with a SEACON Wet Mating Connector to comply with existing system mating requirements. The performance, size, and internal design are customized for the Virginia Platform and the AN/BQQ-10 V4 System. This design is proprietary to Reson, Inc. All other timely offers will be considered. Evaluation will be in accordance with FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items. FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items and DFARS 252.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items apply. DFARS 252.211-7003, Item Identification and Valuation applies to all hardware with a unit price of $5,000 and greater. The following addenda or additional terms and conditions apply: None. Offers should include price and delivery terms and the following information: None required. Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS) rating of DO-C9 applies.
