Description
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (MMAC), intends to award a single-source Contract for modifications to our I-SIM simulator software to support NextGen workstation research. The FAA intends to issue an award to Kongsberg Gallium LTD (DUNS 243083321) of Ontario, Canada, for the required services. This procurement is considered to be single-source as Gallium is the OEM and maintains sole ownership of the software code and hardware interface used in the I-SIM system. Purpose of Announcement: In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System paragraph 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the FAA's decision to contract with a selected source via single-source procedures. This announcement is for informational purposes only, not a Solicitation or Request for Proposal. All questions pertaining to this announcement should be addressed in writing to the Contract Specialist, Jason McLaughlin, via email to jason.mclaughlin@faa.gov or mailing address at FAA, MMAC, Office of Acquisition, MPB, AMQ-310, P.O. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
