SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE This is not a request for proposals. This synopsis is for information purposes only. This is not a solicitation announcement and no contract will be awarded from this announcement. Small and disadvantaged businesses are encouraged to provide input. BACKGROUND: The United States Coast Guard (USCG) currently operates 102 MH-65 Dauphin helicopters. The Eurocopter MH-65 Dauphin is a twin engine, single main rotor, medevac-capable search and rescue helicopter. The dauphin is primarily a Short Range Recovery (SRR) aircraft used by the USCG to perform search and rescue, law enforcement and homeland security missions. The USCG missions require frequent operation at lower altitudes and in salt-laden environments. These environments accelerate corrosion on airframe structures, engines and components of the aircraft. SYNOPSIS: USCG, Aviation Logistics Center (ALC), Elizabeth City, NC is seeking sources to repair the MH-65 nose landing gear actuator cylinder assembly, part number 19575-101, and the main landing gear actuator cylinder assembly-left hand and right hand, part number 19570-101 in accordance with (IAW) the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) specifications. The contractor shall provide technical support services, support product improvement efforts, and provide updates to component maintenance manuals (CMM) and technical orders (TO). The landing gear actuator cylinder assemblies are manufactured by Messier-Dowty SA. Drawings or specifications are NOT available, and CANNOT be furnished by the Government. All companies that can provide the services are encouraged to provide a capability statement, company cage code, brochures, or any other information demonstrating that they can provide these services. This notice is to assist the USCG in determining potential sources only. All firms responding to this sources sought notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request to be considered for a contract award. Reimbursement will not be made for any costs associated with providing information to this sources sought. All interested parties must respond to any subsequent solicitation notice published on the Federal Business Opportunities website. REPLIES: Responses shall be emailed to Tonya Bush, Contract Specialist at Tonya.W.Bush@uscg.mil Insert "HSCG38-13-S-010032 Sources Sought Response" in the subject line of the email. Telephone responses will NOT be accepted. Responses to this notice should include company name, address, and telephone number, point of contact. The Government believes the applicable NAICS code is 488190-Other Support Activities for Air Transportation. Please respond to the following questions (1) Is your business a large or small business and how many employees? (2) If small, does your firm qualify as a small, emergent business, or a small, disadvantaged business? (3) If disadvantaged, specify under which disadvantaged group and is your firm certified under Section 8(a) of the Small Business Act? (4) Is your firm a certified hub zone firm? (5) Is your firm a woman-owned or operated business? (6) Is your firm a certified Service Disabled Veteran-Owned? (7) Do you provide repair service for these types of components to other government agencies, and if so which agencies, POCs and contract numbers? (8) If possible, provide POCs for civilian users for general usage of product questions. After the review of the responses to this sources sought announcement, and if the government still plans to proceed with the acquisition, a solicitation announcement will be published in the FedBizOpps. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are not adequate response to any future solicitation announcement. All interested offerors will have to respond to the solicitation in addition to responding to this sources sought synopsis. Again, this is not a request for proposals.
