Description
The 19th Contracting Squadron at Little Rock AFB intends to award a one year, and four (4) one-year options, sole-source contract to iTech A/V to procure maintenance and service to all audio visual equipment installed by iTech A/V in Building 314. Equipment includes Crestron, Dukane, Cisco, and LG. This includes the quarterly cleaning of all equipment to ensure its continued functionality. The work will also include all labor cost for any additional repairs that need to be made to malfunctioning equipment, but excludes the cost of the equipment itself. This service will include telephone troubleshooting and on-site technician help within 24 hours if required. In addition the contractor will remain on-site until the system is verified as being fully functional to the satisfaction of the sitting Crisis Action Team Coordinator. There are no other vendors that can supply the services that are required to maintain this equipment. There are vendor unique codes, specific parts, and supplies that are used in maintaining this equipment. iTech AV is the only company capable of providing maintenance and service to these integrated systems. In the original installation contract, the government purchased the run time version of the software required to integrate the audio/visual equipment. In order to provide maintenance on this equipment, another vendor would be required to rebuild the code at significant cost to the government. When the unit is not functioning properly it has been determined that the original equipment manufacturers' authorized servicer be the provider required to repair the system, as they have been the only service company available since the end of the warranty period. NAICS Code: 811213; Communication Equipment Repair and Maintenance (Size Standard $10.0m) This proposed procurement is for services for which the government intends to solicit and award with only one source in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(b)(1)(i), Only One Responsible Source and no Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability statement, proposal, or quotation to respond to this requirement which shall be considered by the government no later than September 9, 2013, 2 p.m. CST. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
