Description
National Cancer Institute (NCI), Dermatology Branch plans to procure on a sole source basis a multi-functional plate reader from Perkinelmer Health Sciences, which will include the ability to read fluorescence, luminescence, UV, and Visible light spectra. This piece of equipment will benefit the Government by enabling cancer research to progress using current technology. This particular plate reader will be used extensively by the NCI-Dermatology Branch and will enable researchers in the branch to obtain more consistent and accurate results from their experimental studies. By using the same equipment as the collaborators, NCI will be able to continue using established assay protocols without having to alter protocols for a different device.
