Description

Dry Dock and hull repair the PF 615 barge COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION 1 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: a) The Department of Transportation, U.S. Maritime Administration (MARAD), San Francisco, CA intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order to one contractor for Dry Docking of PF 615 for a dry dock ship yard repair contractor located within the San Francisco Bay because delivery costs to the contractor's shipyard are assumed by the government. The acquisition is under FAR Part 13.5. The requested period of performance for the above repair, and is within 30 days. Proposed ship check is scheduled for Sept 6 at 10AM at 2595 Lake Herman Rd, Benicia CA. Request for Quotation RFQ: DTMA-94-Q-2013-0025 closes Sept 18, 2013 4pm. b) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format prescribed in Subpart 12.6 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. NAICS code 336611 applies. This is a FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION ACQUISTION. c) The solicitation number is stated above, and it is being issued as a request for proposal (RFP). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-67 dated July 22, 2013.
