Forceps 2 qty 2 Salient Characteristics Eyesi Indirect is an augmented reality simulator for training of retinal examinations. With a wide-ranging database of clinically relevant pathologies, Eyesi Indirect significantly extends the range of diagnostic training available to medical students today. By means of a case-oriented didactic approach, trainees are effectively prepared for clinical practice. The computer-based training system also provides immediate and objective evaluation of both procedural and diagnostic skills. Augmented Reality for Realistic Training of Retinal Examination As opposed to studying two-dimensional images, the augmented reality technology integrated in Eyesi Indirect provides a highly realistic, three-dimensional experience of retinal examinations. At the same time students learn how to properly handle the ophthalmoscope. The Eyesi Indirect Ophthalmoscope simulator thus provides for most effective and activity-based knowledge transfer. This Notice of Intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Parties may identify their interest, accompanied by supporting literature, to the Contracting Officer no later than 09/03/2013 Noon. Responses should be sent to Kolleen.blanton@va.gov. Information received will be for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. The determination to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
