Description
Replacement of Copper Feed Cable, RFQ VA251-13-Q-0734: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-69. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 811213, Communication Equipment Repair and Maintenance. The small business size standard is $10.0 million average annual receipts for the past three years. This procurement is a total set-aside for small business concerns. Offerors are encouraged to submit quotes based on the work requirements specified herein with an anticipated completion date of no more than 30 days after contract award: STATEMENT of WORK: Building 22: Install (1) 300 PE 89 outdoor rated copper feed cable from building 157 to building 22 using existing conduits and manholes/handholes. Terminate to existing wall mount lighting protection in building 22. Test and label each pair per industry and VA standards. Vendor will not be responsible for lighting protection units or modules that are found to be faulty. Vendor will not be responsible for taking down any fencing or removal of other equipment to access work sites. Building 157: Install (1) splice canister under the raised floor to splice the 300 pair from building 22. Install IW cables from the splice canister to the existing Lucet lighting protection modules on the existing rack. From these lighting protection modules extend new copper 100 pair feed cables to the new rack and terminate cables onto new rack mount 300 pair 110 blocks. Test and label each copper pair per industry and VA standards. All work at both buildings will be conducted during normal business hours, 8am to 4:30pm. Offerors are required to include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items, (APR 2012), with its offer.
