- Naval Surface Warfare Center Corona Division, Measurement Science Department, Code MS14 requires the procurement of an SR-5000N and SR-800R calibration standards to fulfill the calibration requirements that its predecessor, the SR-5000 cannot meet. Depot calibration support for the Air Force Predator B will be interrupted if the SR-5000N and SR-800R are not procured. Interrupting calibration support will adversely affect the target acquisition, tracking, and laser designation accuracy for this platform. The Government intends to award a sole-source; firm fixed priced contract to CI Systems, USA. This procurement is commercial item IAW FAR Part 12. THE GOVERNMENT INTENDS TO SOLICIT AND NEGOTIATE WITH ONLY ONE SOURCE UNDER THE AUTHORITY OF FAR 6.302-1 FOR THIS PROCUREMENT ACTION. INTERESTED PARTIES MAY IDENTIFY THEIR INTEREST AND CAPABILITY TO RESPOND TO THE REQUIREMENT, OR SUBMIT CAPABILITY STATEMENTS. THIS NOTICE OF INTEREST IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES OR PROPOSALS. 1.0 SCOPE NSWC Corona, Code MS14 requires the procurement of an SR-5000N and SR-800R calibration standards (CALSTDs) to fulfill the calibration requirements that its predecessor, the SR5000, cannot meet. Depot calibration support for the Air Force Predator B will be interrupted if the SR-5000N and SR-800R are not procured. Interrupting calibration support will adversely affect the target acquisition, tracking, and laser designation accuracy for this platform. 2.0 BACKGROUND The SR-5000N infrared spectroradiometer is required to calibrate the Forward Looking Infrared (FLIR) infrared camera on that enables long-range surveillance and high-altitude acquisition, tracking, and laser designation. The SR-5000N is a "cal before use" item; therefore, the SR-800R blackbody must calibrate it before every measurement session. The SR-800R blackbody is required to calibrate the SR-5000N infrared spectroradiometer, which calibrates the Forward Looking Infrared (FLIR) infrared camera to enable long-range surveillance and high-altitude acquisition, tracking, and laser designation.
