Description
J&A Notice of Intent to Purchase Brand Name Specific Items under Army CHESS Contracts less than br greater than The Project Manager, Army Enterprise Systems Integration Program's PM AESIP intends to purchase Brocade Brand Premier Support Service Level Agreement maintenance for previously purchased Brocade brand hardware switches. The AESIP Brocade brand switches are currently located at the Redstone, Alabama and Radford, Virginia Data Centers. The original AESIP Brocade procurement contract standardized the data switching hardware platforms that support the Hub Services, Master Data Management, and Enterprise Reporting requirements using Brand Name Brocade technology to connect mainframe, or open systems, with the Storage Area Network (SAN) environments. Only Brocade Premier Support Partners/Resellers can provide support on brand name Brocade equipment, manage equipment/system failures and execute software upgrades. Brocade Premier Support offers the following: 24 x 7 expert technical support to accelerate problem resolution, ongoing software updates, four (4) hour response to trouble reports, remote support, pro-active monitoring and fault management, quarterly support reviews, annual Brocade SAN health check, and data retention rights for all replacement parts. We intend to purchase the requirement by awarding a competitive firm fixed price delivery order through the Computer Hardware, Enterprise Software and Solutions (CHESS) program which is the Army's designated primary source for commercial IT. In accordance with the CHESS ordering guidelines, the Fair Opportunity will be given to all six ITES-2H multiple award contract holders. A brand name justification has been approved and is being posted with this announcement. The period of performance of the requirement is September 17, 2013 thru September 16, 2014. Market research has revealed that more than one ITES-2H multiple award contract holder can provide the required support. When this is true the procurement must be made from CHESS IAW AFARS 5139.101. Responses to this announcement must be emailed directly to Steve Perry, the Contract Specialist, at steven.r.perry32.civ@mail.mil. less than br greater than
