- NOTICE OF INTENT The Department of Veterans Affairs, NCO 7, intends to award a sole-source contract to Philips Medical Systems, 22100 Bothell Everett HWY, MS, 450, Bothell, WA 98201. Philips will provide support services to assist VAMC-Atlanta's Biomedical Engineering Section to maintain the systems in this contract in good operating condition. Troubleshooting, consultation, all parts and on-site backup assistance are included. This cooperative agreement provides the repair support normally needed to sustain system operation in a clinical environment. Services include repair to diagnose and correct system malfunctions and failures, all repair parts to restore system operation, engineering improvements, and on-site backup assistance. All replacement parts provided under this contract shall be either new or refurbished parts that meets OEM new parts specifications/standards and carry the same warranty as new parts but for no less than a period of one (1) year for replacement of the same. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or a solicitation for offers. However, parties interested in responding to this notice shall submit technical data, including cost, sufficient to determine capability in providing the same product to Joseph Leyte, Contract Specialist, at Joseph.Leyte@va.gov by August 26, 2013 no later than 12:00 PM EDT. All capability statements received by closing of this notification of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures. There are no set-aside restrictions for this requirement. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 811219 with a Small Business Size Standard of $19 Million. This is for informational purposes only and not to be construed as a commitment by the government. Any information submitted to this notice of intent is voluntary.
