Description
This notice is being published in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 5.101 requiring the dissemination of information for proposed contract actions. This is a notice of intent to award a sole-source contract and is not a request for competitive proposals. The statutory authority for this sole-source procurement is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as prescribed by FAR 6.302-1. The Contracting Office for the 167 AW, West Virginia Air National Guard, intends to issue a sole-source, firm fixed price purchase order to Chemring Energetic Devices, Inc for the repair and calibration service for oxygen testers, which includes diagnostic checks, cleaning and calibration to ensure full operational condition and replacement parts as needed. This service is unique and proprietary to Chemring Energetic Devices, Inc., 2525 Curtiss St, Downers Grove, IL 60615-4060. Chemring Energetic Devices, Inc is the manufacturer of the oxygen testers and is the only company authorized to calibrate and repair the oxygen testers. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government shall consider all responses received by Friday, 6 September 2013 at 10:00 A.M. EST. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona-fide capability to fulfill the requirement. The 167 AW Contracting Office will not be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this notice. Please email MSgt Max R.
