- Description
- ACC-DENTAL EMERGENCY POWER - VA244-13-B-1215 AMENDMENT 002 The following are answers to questions submitted as Requests for Information (RFI): 1)Can we get an articulating boom into the building and all the way to the electrical room, and if so, what are the door clearances and height clearances. No. Articulating Booms are not permitted in the building. A Scissor's Lift is permitted to be used, if preferred. Standard door height is 83 inches. 2)When we did the walk through, it seemed that you indicated that the disconnect for the conversion of the BLA panel to generator power would be mounted near the disconnect, transformer and new panel EQBLC and concrete pad. Is that correct? Yes, that is correct. 3)The existing feeder wires for panel BLA will be removed from the existing underground conduit, is that correct? Yes, that is correct. 4)It seemed to be mentioned that all of the existing circuits in panel BLA were going to remain in that panel. However, it appears on the one line diagram that circuits BLA 13, and BLA 6-8 are to be moved to the new panel BLA. If not, can you indicate which circuits will be moved into the new BLA panel? Circuits BLA 13, BLA 6, and BLA 8 are to be relocated from the old panel to the new panel. 5)Am I correct in my understanding that the (3) dental Air compressors and the (2) Dental vacuums are existing in the old BLA panel which is being converted, and will stay there? Yes, you are correct. 6)Is the work in the dental office and for the power switch over for Old BLA and New panel EQBLD the only work that must be done outside of normal working hours, Or must all of the work be done on premium time? One 8-hour night shift will be required. 7)Regarding the 112.5 KVA transformer, can that be mounted on the floor of the 6" pad, or will it need to be suspended? The 112.5 KVA transformer shall be placed on a 6 inch concrete pad. Transformer cannot be suspended. 8)On the one line drawing, it calls to install a new 150 amp 3 pole breaker in Panel 71-EQBHA. On the panel schedule, it is shown as 175 amp, 3 pole breaker. The GE switchgear rep has informed us that the largest breaker that can be put into the existing 71-EQBHA is a 150 amp breaker. Please advise if the 150 amp will be acceptable. A new 150 amp 3 pole breaker shall be installed in Panel 71-EQBHA. The 175 amp 3 pole breaker shown on the panel schedule is incorrect.
