Vendor will provide preventative maintenance service in October 2013, January 2014, April 2014 and July 2014 at both locations. Vendor will contact C.O.R. Richie Adams, for the Montgomery Campus at 334-272-4670, ext 4898 and Richie Adams, at the Tuskegee Campus at 334-272-4670, ext 4898, to schedule the date preventive maintenance is to be performed. Vendor will submit a written report covering condition of equipment and any recommendations based on analysis of the following inspection data: (1) POWER CONSUMPTION WILL BE MEASURED WITH AN AMPROBE TO DETERMINE WHETHER THE PUMPS ARE OPERATING WITHIN FACTORY SPECIFICATIONS. (2) BEARING AND CASING TEMPERATURES WILL BE MONITORED AND COMPARED AGAINST DESIGN SPECIFICATIONS. (3) RUN AND OFF TIMES WILL BE RECORDED. (4) ALL STRAINERS WILL BE CLEANED. (5) ALL SIGHT GLASSES WILL BE CHECKED AND CLEANED AS NEEDED. (6) ALL INLET AND DISCHARGE CHECK VALVES WILL BE INSPECTED AND/OR CHECKED FOR PROPER OPERATION. (7) ALL PRESSURE/VACUUM RELIEF VALVES WILL BE INSPECTED. (8) COUPLINGS WILL BE INSPECTED FOR WEAR ON APPLICABLE PUMPS. (9) PACKING WILL BE INSPECTED/ADJUSTED/REPLACED/ ON ALL APPLICABLE PUMPS. Questions not received within a reasonable time prior to close of the solicitation may not be considered.*** For this solicitation, VHA NCO 07 - 619 - Montgomery, AL intends to conduct an online competitive reverse auction to be facilitated by the third-party reverse auction provider, FedBid, Inc. FedBid has developed an online, anonymous, browser based application to conduct the reverse auction. An Offeror may submit a series of pricing bids, which descend in price during the specified period of time for the aforementioned reverse auction.
