Description
The US Department of Labor, Office of Job Corps is seeking qualified contractors with the qualifications and experience to provide design-build services for the Culinary Arts fit-out, the correction of ventilation deficiencies, and the demolition of two buildings at the Treasure Lake Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center. The Treasure Lake Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center is located in Indiahoma, Oklahoma. The work involves the completion of an unfinished culinary arts area for the existing cafeteria building. Ventilation improvements to provide sufficient exhaust and outdoor air supply in two existing buildings, and building demolition work will also be required. Prospective offerors interested in this requirement are requested to submit a statement of qualifications. Your statement of qualifications must provide sufficient information that will demonstrate the experience of your firm in the following areas: 1. Design/Build services for Culinary Arts, Cafeteria and Classroom Facilities 2. Correction of ventilation deficiencies 3. Health and Safety Plans/Procedures 4. Ability to meet completion schedules. Offerors shall include with its submission a list of three recent projects performed that are comparable in size and scope to the services required under this project. Responses will be evaluated based on the following criteria: 1. Design Build experience with Culinary Arts, Cafeteria and Classroom Facilities 2. Experience with the correction of ventilation deficiencies and building demolition 3. Recent experience with cost control, project schedule, and safety controls 4. Previous projects performed that are comparable to the services required under this project. This Notice is for information and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation on the part of the Government to issue a Request for Proposals or award a contract. The Government does not intend to award a contract based on responses, nor otherwise pay for the preparation of any information submitted. Entities responding to this Sources Sought Notice should submit the minimum information necessary for the Government to make a determination that the source is capable of satisfying the requirements. The response must be specific to each of the criteria listed above to demonstrate that the respondent is capable. The submissions shall not exceed 20 pages. All interested parties are invited to submit a capabilities statement to Ms. Eileen Garnett, Contracting Specialist, U.S. Department of Labor/ETA/OCM/Division of Job Corps Procurement, 200 Constitution Avenue, NW, Room N-4643 Washington, DC 20210. Responses are due August 29, 2013 by 2 p.m. EST. Electronic copies of capability statements are preferred and may be e-mailed to garnett.eileen@dol.gov. Acknowledgment of receipt of responses will not be made, nor will respondents be notified of the Government's evaluation of the information received. A determination by the Government to proceed with the acquisition is within the discretion of the Government. Please be advised that telephone inquiries will not be accepted. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS.
