- Description
- Justification & Approval for Limited Sources This is a notice of the Governments intent to solicit as Limited-Source, to a GSA contract holder. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit or negotiate with only one source. less than br greater than less than br greater than The Mission Installation Contracting Command (MICC), Fort Drum, NY, 13602 intends to award a Limited-Source Contract to Kforce Government Solutions, Inc. (KGS) to provide three Multiple Amputation Trauma (MATT) Training Simulators for Fort Drum, NY. less than br greater than less than br greater than The Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization, and Security (DPTMS) has a requirement for three MATT Training Simulators because it is currently the only product line that can be used with existing tourniquet training equipment due to the proprietary nature of TraumaFX trauma-training simulator products. While similar training mannequins work well for other medical training, MATT's proprietary skin and remote control is uniquely designed to represent physiologically correct human responses to amputations; hemorrhage control procedures and IV insertion; and allows the trainee to control blood loss once the blood flow is generated remotely by the trainer. Market research has found that this equipment is available on GSA, through one source. KGS is the only provider of the proprietary TraumaFX trauma-training simulator product line, currently in use at Fort Drum NY. There are no other resellers, or distributors of the TraumaFX patient trauma-training simulator products in the United States. The designated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 339112, Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing; and the Product Service Code (PSC) is 6910, Training Aids. The anticipated contract type is a GSA Order with an approximate delivery date of 90 days After Receipt of Order (ARO). less than br greater than less than br greater than This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all proposals received within 15 calendar days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Fort Drum is not seeking or requesting unsolicited proposals and will not accept telephone or fax inquiries. No solicitation exists and vendors should not request a copy of a solicitation.
