- Description
- The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Synopsys Inc., 2025 NW Cornelius Pass Road, Hillsboro, OR, 97124, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), soliciting from a single source, to purchase Synopsys software licenses maintenance renewal, for a period of one year. Synopsys is the original manufacturer of the software, and is the only company that can provide maintenance for its software. Maintenance includes updates and software support. Synopsys is the only authorized provider of this service. Therefore this requirement must be a sole source requirement. Written responses to this Notice of Intent shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill the requirement. A determination by the Government whether to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
