- THIS IS INVITATION FOR BID (IFB) FOR FOR CORRECT DEFICIENCIES AT SWIMMING POOLS, BLDG. 3663 CAMP SCHWAB AND BLDG. 2431A, CAMP HANSEN, OKINAWA, JAPAN 1. This solicitation is intended for local sources in accordance with FAR 5.202(a)(12). Local sources are those persons or entities normally resident and licensed to conduct business in Japan. Offers from non-local sources will not be considered under this solicitation. 2. This procurement shall utilize Sealed Bidding Procedures. Bids will be publicly opened at the time set for opening in the IFB. Their content will be made public for the information of bidders and others interested, who may be present either in person or by representative. Before a bid is considered for award, the bidder may be requested by the Government to submit a statement regarding his previous experience in performing comparable work, his business and technical organization, financial resources, and such other information as may be required to evaluate the bidders responsibility. 3. The procurement will result in the award of a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) contract to Correct Deficiencies at Swimming Pools, Bldg. 3663 Camp Schwab and Bldg. 2431A, Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan (ESR 098-09/HQMC BU1403M & ESR 067-10/HQMC BU1402M)". This procurement consists of one basic bid item and one option bid item as follows: Item 0001 Basic Bid Item -- Correct Deficiencies at a Swimming Pool, Bldg. 3663 Camp Schwab and Bldg. 2431A (ESR 098-09/HQMC BU1403M) Item 0002 Option Bid Item -- Correct Deficiencies at a Swimming Pool, Bldg. 2431A, Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan (ESR 067-10/HQMC BU1402M) The Government will evaluate bids by adding the price for an option item to the total price for the basic bid item. The Government has a right to exercise an option at the time of award or during performance period of the contract. The Contractor will be required to prosecute the work diligently and to complete the entire work ready for use within 240 calendar days. 4. Per FAR 36.204, the magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000 5. Bids shall be evaluated without discussion. Award will be made to the lowest responsible bidder whose bid, conforming to the solicitation, is the most advantageous the Government considering price and price-related factors included in the invitation. 6. The solicitation wa issued on about 9 Aug 2013. Bids will be due on or about 9 Sep 2013 at ROICC Camp Butler office, Okinawa, Japan at the time and venue specified in the IFB. 7. Bidders can view and/or download the invitation at https://www.fbo.gov when it becomes available. NO HARD COPIES WILL BE PROVIDED. Notification of any amendments to the solicitation will only be made on the AsiaNECO website for any posted changes. IT IS THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BIDDER TO CONTINUALLY VIEW THE WEBSITE FOR ANY AMENDMENTS ISSUED TO THE SOLICITATION.
