- The Department of Veterans Affairs, SAO Central, NCO12 - Milwaukee, WI, intends to award a sole source commercial purchase order in accordance with FAR Parts 12 & 13. The North America Industry Classification System Code [NAICS] is 811219 and standard is $19 million. The government has determined that Amerisource Bergen is the only source that can satisfy this agency requirement. The requirement is to acquire a service agreement which include the following: emergency repairs during regular business hours (including travel, labor, and parts), 24/7 technical help desk support (to include remote diagnostics, patches, and software downloads), and an semi-annual preventative maintenance checks for the FastPak EXP Narrow setup for use in Tomah VA medical Center, located at 500 East Veterans Drive, Tomah WI 54660. All responsible sources may submit a response, which if timely received, will be considered by The Department of Veterans Affairs, SAO Central, NCO 12 - Milwaukee, WI. This synopsis is for notification purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation for bids or proposals. Under Statutory Authority 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1), the VA Great Lakes Acquisition Center anticipates entering into sole source procurement negotiations with Siemens Health Care Diagnostics. This announcement is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under FAR 6.302-1. The above authority is cited and justification made based on the determination that the Government's minimum needs can only be satisfied for supplies/services available from one source. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Other persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by August 14, 2013 by 5:00 PM CST. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement. All interest received on or before Aug 14, 2013 will be evaluated by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitations documents are available and telephone requests will not be honored. Any company that feels they have items that meet the needs of the Government must submit their technical data (2 pages or less) to support their claim. The information must explain the company's ability to overcome propriety Siemens Health Care Diagnostics Software; the services include enhancements where updates can be delivered remotely, 24/7 technical telephone support, and the capability of having a qualified emergency repair technician available to on-site within four (4) hours of a service call.
