Description

VA Business Recovery Command Center (BRCC) Services Request for Information Industry Input Needed This is a Request for Information (RFI)/Sources Sought notice issued in accordance with FAR 15.201(e) to conduct market research. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue a RFP in the future. This request for information does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. The VA is not, at this time, seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Responders are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested vendor's expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued. Any information submitted by respondents to this RFI is strictly voluntary. All submissions become Government property and will not be returned. The VA Austin Information Technology Center (AITC), located in Austin, Texas requires location-based services that will ensure AITC is capable of providing continuity of services for its operations, including alternate workspace for AITC personnel and tenants, in the event the building located at 1615 Woodward St. in Austin Texas is damaged or otherwise cannot be occupied. The scope of the contract includes (1) location-based disaster recovery services, (2) support for mission critical and essential support applications, and (3) performance of location-based annual testing of AITC and tenant recovery capabilities, including an annual Disaster Recovery Exercise In support of this effort VA is conducting market research to further refine requirements and establish the best acquisition approach. Please note that requirements defined to date may change before a final request for proposals is released. 1.Please provide comments on the draft PWS in the following table format: PWS paragraph referenceFully(F)/Partially (P) or Not (N) metchange fromchange tocomment/rationale 2.Please acknowledge if your company has the capability to provide a BRCC services within the location restrictions as outlined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS). 3.PWS Attachment A contains detailed information about the specific tasks associated with this requirement. 4.Provide company business size and status as designated by the NAICS 541513 and the U.S. Small Business Administration (i.e., Large Business, Small Business, Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, Women-Owned Small Business, Hub Zone Small Business, etc.). 5.Submit responses and related information via email to: Daniel.Winterroth@va.gov by 3:00 P.M. Central Standard time, August 15, 2013. We prefer that you submit your information in one volume. Please separate your responses to the RFI in Tab format. Tab 1 should include responses to the PWS and Tab 2 should include your capability of providing BRCC services to the AITC located in Austin, Texas. Proprietary/company confidential material shall be clearly marked on every page that contains such. Include the name, phone number, and email address of the lead from your organization. VA reserves the right to not respond to any or all emails or materials submitted.
