Description
Pursuant to FAR 5.101(2) the United States Department Agriculture (USDA), Agriculture Research Service (ARS ), National Agricultural Statistical Service (NASS), intends to purchase a KR219N Kirk Rudy Net Jet Addressing System with Diverter and Standalone Barcode Inspection System with the following minimum salient characteristic requirements: A) System shall have at least three inches of print area. Split into two 1.5" print heads. Each head must be capable of expanding for future needs. B) Each print head needs to be independently adjustable Up-Down and Side-Side. C) System shall include a 3630 Barcode reader/ Verifier with total interface communications. The Reader/Verifier must include the divert trigger for inkjet base. D) Both The Inkjet software and the Barcode Reader/Verifier Software shall communicate with each other for improved production. E) System shall have both in-line and off-line modes. F) System shall have the inkjet drying capacity of 6000W or higher. G) System shall include an integrated PC that will network with itself and the USDA network. H) System software shall have the ability to change jobs and reprint errors within the run. I) System shall include a Windows based user interface with all true type fonts. J) System shall include unlimited pre-programmable job storage for all current and future job requirements. These jobs will control most all system change-over as afore mentioned. K) System shall have the ability to shingle stack the printed material and speedup for sort/tray brakes. L) System output conveyor shall hold at least 2,000 printed products. M) System shall have a specified cycle speed of at least 20,000 printed products per hour. N) System off-line Feeder shall be capable of feeding product from 2" x 3" up to 12" x 24". O) Systems footprint (actual floor space it sits on) of 16' x 6'. P) Electrical Plug located in lower back right portion of machine. Q) System shall allow for additional features to be added at a later date. The system requirements shall meet USDA Inkjet/Barcode verification needs and achieve maximum operational efficiency while minimizing floor space utilization. A flexible, user-friendly inkjet system is required for non-technical operators. R) Services shall also include preventive maintenance support. Quotes shall be submitted for the brand name. Quotes will be evaluated based on meeting the minimum system requirements. Quotes shall identify the proposed salient characteristics. NASS requires a five (5) year contract for a Twelve month Base period effective September 1, 2013 through August 31, 2014, with four (4) renewable twelve month option periods for maintenance support service. Quotes shall include a price for monthly maintenance for all periods of performance and the total annual price for each period of performance. Vendors on GSA Contract shall include a copy of your GSA Contract and number. Vendors shall also include your DUNS number and authorized point of contact information. Vendors shall ensure they are currently registered in GSA SAM System. NAICS Code is 423420. No telephone calls are being accepted.
