Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and proposals are being requested. A written solicitation will not be issued. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, 13 and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; QUOTATIONS ARE BEING REQUESTED ANDNO OTHER SOLICITATION WILL BE ISSUED. Solicitation number is VA248-13-Q-2344 and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation documents and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-64, effective 18 Jan 2013. This acquisition is Unrestricted. This will be a low price technically acceptable (LPTA) award. The VA Bay Pines Healthcare Procurement Business Service intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order for ONE (1) Brand Name or Equal Tecniplast RW 800 Rack Washer. Equipment provided as an equal shall meet the salient physical, functional, or performance characteristics of the RW 800 Rack Washer. All equipment shall be new with standard manufacturer's warranty. IAW FAR 52.211-6, vendors shall supply adequate descriptive literature and photographs to determine compatibility with salient characteristics and furnish all applicable information with the quotation. Failure to provide adequate descriptive literature will be grounds for rejection of quotation. Required Delivery Date 60 days after receipt of order; Installation will be required at a date yet to be determined. Refurbished units will not be considered. The following Contract Line Items (CLINS) are applicable to this requirement. For detailed part description of the Rack Washer see "salient characteristics" attachment. The delivery will be FOB: Destination to Bay Pines VA Healthcare System, Bldg 110 Warehouse, 10,000 Bay Pine Blvd, Bay Pines, FL. 33744. CLIN 0001: 1ea RW 800 Rack Washer Brand name or equal to the manufactures salient characteristics published by Tecniplast, USA, Animal Cage and Rack Washer, see attached salient characteristics. Standard manufacturer's warranty is required. Technical Capability and Sub-factors as outlined in Salient Characteristics. 2. Price. Technical is significantly more important than price.
