Description
SCOPE OF WORK: To install an HVAC system that will properly cool and heat the Command Center. DESCRIPTION OF WORK TO BE COMPLETED: To install HVAC system that will supply adequate cooling and heating. USCG Sector Detroit estimates approximately 20 tons of cooling required to satisfy room size and heat created by electronics. Heat amount currently being supplied is also antiquated. SITE VISIT: Those who desire access to Sector Detroit for bidding or work are to contact DCC Graziano. Once awarded the job contractors are to arrange time and days for work to be accomplished after receiving notification from the USCG Contracting Officer to proceed. MILITARY REGULATIONS: The contractor, his employees and sub contractors shall become familiar with and obey all station regulations. All personnel employed on the project shall keep within the limits of the work and avenues of ingress and egress. Personnel shall not enter any other areas outside the site of work unless required to do so in the performance of their duties and have obtained verbal permission from CWO Hall, DCC Graziano, or the Officer of the Day. The contractor's equipment shall be conspicuously marked for identification. There shall be no smoking in any Coast Guard building and only in designated areas. WORK HOURS: The contractor shall perform all site work during the normal operation hours (0700-1600) Monday through Friday except during federal holidays. Any deviations from normal working hours will be discussed with DCC Graziano and agreed upon by all parties concerned. LABOR WAGES: Quote must reflect hourly wages prescribed by the Department of Labor. CLEAN UP OF WORK AREA: The contractor shall remove and properly dispose of all trash and debris pertaining to the contract work from the limits of the government property, as well as adjacent affected areas. Disposal of hazmat shall be in accordance with Federal, state and local regulations. ACCEPTANCE OF WORK: Prior to the acceptance of work by the Coast Guard the contractor shall arrange through CWO Hall or DCC Graziano a review of work completed to ensure work satisfaction as well as proper clean up.
