Description
EEO AA NonSegregated Davis Bacon Air Conditioning Installation BK-AC_Installation-2013 The Brooklyn Job Corps Academy is soliciting bids for an air conditioning contractor who can install a ductless Air Conditioning unit to the area over our computer room. The Brooklyn Job Corps Academy is a federally funded vocational and educational training program for youth. The program is open year round with approximately 165 trainees. The Brooklyn Job Corps is a satellite center of the South Bronx Job Corps and it is operated by ResCare, Inc. for the US Department of Labor. SCOPE OF WORK Disconnect and relocate the condensing units to the area over the computer room Install a blower inside the computer room Run a new electrical line to and from the condenser on the roof to the blower inside the computer room Run necessary copper lines to and from the condenser to the blower Vacuum and charge the unit fully with refrigerant Install a new condensate pump inside the computer room and run line to drain REQUIREMENTS •· Must be in compliance with all Local, State and Federal Guidelines and Regulations •· Work to be accomplished in safe and efficient manner with minimal or no disruption or endangerment to trainees and / or staff. •· Must provide a copy of current licensure and insurance LENGTH OF AGREEMENT Contractor must provide scope of work and time frame in which work is to be completed. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF ACCEPTANCE •· Contractor must acknowledge by signature that they meet all Federal, State, Local and OSHA regulations and that all specifications terms and conditions set forth are acceptable. •· Bidders must submit their proposal in a sealed envelope by 5 p.m. close of business on August 5, 2013 to the attention Barbara Kimbrough, Purchasing Agent. The following documents Davis Bacon Act (40 U 27a Attachment B), Certification of Non-Segregated Facilities Pursuant to FAR 52.222-21 (Attachment C), Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Requirement Pursuant to FAR 52.222-26 and FAR 52.222-27, FAR 52.252-2, 52.204-1, 52.215-19, PRC 4121 and 4170 will be incorporated and made part of agreement.
