Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division (NAWCWD), China Lake, CA procured a Dual Frequency Transmitter with Qualification Testing. The transmitter was designed and developed by Emhiser Research to specifically meet existing Patriot missile telemetry requirements for a dual frequency transmitter. U.S. Army transmitter drawing (13492696B) and transmitter product function specification (MIS-50262A) define the requirements for this Patriot transmitter. The dual transmitter consists of two Frequency Modulated telemetry transmitters within a single package. A single combined output operates into a 50 ohm nominal load on specified frequencies, separated by no less than 30 megahertz (MHz), within the Ultra High Frequency (UHF) telemetry band from 2200 to 2290 MHz. The dual transmitter shall be capable of producing simultaneous FM carriers at the common output when modulated at each input with independent 200-500 kilobits per second (kb/s) NonReturn-to-Zero-Level (NRZ-L) digital signals. The dual transmitter shall also be capable of producing a single FM carrier at the common output when modulated at either input with a 200-500 kb/s digital signal. The dual transmitter NRZ-L input signal(s) may also include an asynchronous amplitude modulated event marker.
