Description

The U.S. Geological Survey intends to make a non-competitive purchase order to Johnson Controls located Capital Heights, MD for continued service to monitor, preventative maintenance and incidental repairs to their proprietary Metasys System version 4.0 for one year from the date of award. There are 4 option periods. Johnson Controls is the sole proprietor of both the equipment and the software and is the only company that can perform the required maintenance and monitoring because no other company is authorized by Johnson controls to update this software or obtain parts for this system. The existing system was recently updated/upgraded through Johnson Controls. Due to the upgrade Johnson Controls retains proprietary rights for this system. Metasys system is the building automation system which currently controls all of the HVAC equipment. The Government intends to award this requirement noncompetitively in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). Email responses to cvega@usgs.gov or fax to 703-648-7899. Emailed responses are preferred. The NAICS code is 28220. The size standard is $14.0. The anticipated award date of the contract is 8/1/2013. The anticipated contract will be firm fixed-price.
