Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 7, intends to negotiate a sole-source contract with L&S Electronics, 5911-B Loftis Road, Hanahan, SC 29406, on or around August 1, 2013 to provide Updates to the existing Odyssey Nurse Call System on the 4A Wing of the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center. The Contractor supporting this work will perform the following duties: The Current Nurse Call System for Ralph H. Johnson VAMC requires upgrades to fully support integration of Vocera Wireless Communication, and Posey System that supports a safer environment for patients. The request is a modification or advancement to retrofit the current Nurse Call System to support advances in communication and other patient care related notifications. The proposed contractor possesses unique qualifications that require the use of the authority below. Upgrades to the existing Nurse Call System must be done with West Call Nurse Call Equipment, and L&S Electronics is experienced with the necessary liaison interfaces required. NAICS Code: 516621 Security Systems Services (Except Locksmiths) (Size Standard $35.5 Million). This proposed procurement is for services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(b)(1)(i), Only One Responsible Source and no Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement no later than July 30, 2013, 4 p.m. EDT. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
