- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, NCIRD/ISD, 1600 Clifton Rd. NE, Mailstop A19, Atlanta, GA, 30333, hereby announces its intent to issue a sole source contract to Maryland Department of Health & Mental Hygiene 201 W Preston Street 3rd Floor, Room 321 Baltimore, MD 21201 to provide support in examining accuracy of antimicrobial resistance of reportable drug resistant pathogens. NAICS Code: 923120 Period of Performance: 07/30/2013 to 09/30/2013 The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) as cited in FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). Only state based TB surveillance data generated by states with DST results from multiple methods, including conventional methods and the newly introduced culture-based and molecular techniques, can be used to examine the accuracy of antimicrobial resistance and to assess changes in lab technology for the purpose of determining the impact of routine TB disease surveillance. Responsible sources that believe they possess the expertise and capabilities identified above are encouraged to submit to the Contracting Officer within 10 days from the posting date of this notice, their written capabilities statement, proposal or quotation which shall be considered by the agency for future procurement.
